For over 45 years, the Central Texas Audubon Society has been engaging Central Texans and beyond with wildlife conservation through birds. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides opportunities for all ages to learn and experience the importance of our natural bird wildlife, both locally and beyond.
Since 1969, we have had the pleasure of being involved with the Central Texas Species Checklist, Civic Science, Christmas Bird Count, Breeding Count, and playing a vital role alongside the City of Waco in protecting our habitats.

The region's varied landscapes, including the serene Waco Wetlands, expansive prairies, and the over 30-acre Cameron Park in the heart of Downtown Waco, birders and novice alike have found themselves traveling to Central Texas.
